Previous thoughts: I try to go for walks every morning. It’s a habit I’ve had for many years, which I keep because it’s very enjoyable and a wonderful moment of inspiration. I always walk with a small notebook in my hand. I’m sharing a photo here:
Sometimes I take photos, many, because I like it and because it makes me pay attention to my surroundings. Is there a greater source of inspiration possible? This poem is the result of my walk today. I wrote it when I photographed this majestic eucalyptus:
Lifetime
It was not your choice
to be born,
it will not be your desire
to die,
however, time
guides you through the days,
so, how do you want
to live?

Loved this, elegant, simple and beautifully profound all at once 🙏
Can you really know for sure that it was not your soul's choice to be born? If so, whose choice was it? Can you really know for sure that when you have finished what you came here to achieve and experience you do not desire to die? The question is, like your poem states it: how do you want to live?
