Writing microfiction is something I have been sharpening here on Substack. It’s a fantastic exercise because it creates the opportunity to refine writing while making it cleaner and free of unnecessary words. It’s quite challenging. Today I bring you 100 words of- Old friends
100 words of Old Friends
They met three days ago.
However, it seems that their paths had crossed in the past. That's what they felt as soon as they started talking.
The topics were common, the town where they were born, the school they went. That's what memories are also for- to recognize friendly people.
John and Peter talked for hours, but something happened when they decided to talk about their families.
John had a brother he didn't know, and Peter hadn't met his family since he went to the children's home. These souls revealed themselves to be forgotten brothers, bound by blood and time
