This lays heavy on the heart. The sense of loss is huge and the chaos it brings when you don't know what to do... beautifully written.

Thank you Writer Pilgrim. I was trying to convey precisely that idea. I'm glad I succeeded

In my opinion, 'Night' is the best poem you have written. It's a deeply impassioned cry from the heart about a departed lover who is not likely to return, (did she die?) even though the speaker had dearly hoped she would. The sense of loss, of night taking everything that's truly previous, is real and visceral. Good work, Rolando.

I can so easily relate to this poem, Rolando. I lost someone, too, many years ago. We never truly get over loss like that. Our heart makes a home for them; our mind makes a safe place for the memories; but our soul is like a record playing over and over again and it never sleeps.

So intensely deep, and sorrowful. I felt the lump in my throat, imagining the loss of my own love. A beautiful love story, Rolando.

Oh that grief, that lonely loss. Thanks for sharing this Rolando. The stretch to describe turns pain into Beauty. And helps heal others.
